We provide spinal correction utilizing gentle chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, we have years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.
We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.
Myofascial Therapy (also known as myofascial release therapy or myofascial trigger point therapy) is a type of safe, low load stretch that releases tightness and pain throughout the body caused by myofascial pain syndrome, which describes chronic muscle pain that is worse in certain areas known as trigger points.
After silicone or plastic cups are to the skin, motion is either induced to the cups or the body. The suction and negative pressure created by releases rigid soft tissue, breaks up and drains excess fluids and toxins, loosens adhesions and lifts connective tissue, and brings blood and lymph flow to stagnant skin and muscles.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM)
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, or IASTM, is a popular technique to treat soft-tissue injuries and related conditions with a soft-tissue component using specialized tools. Sometimes referred to as "scraping", the tools are used to find, break down, and restructure disorganized soft-tissue. Adhesions and scar tissue caused by trauma, over-use, or misuse of our muscles and joints can drastically change the biomechanics of our bodies. These tools are used to stimulate the affected muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia creating a controlled microtrauma within the tissue. This creates a cascade of healing effects on the cellular level which increases vascularization, fibroblast proliferation, and collagen synthesis, while reducing unnecessary scar tissue.
Percussion massage is a type of massage that delivers a series of rapid blows that penetrate deep into the soft tissue to promote pain-relief, relaxation, and tissue repair. This type of massage also improves blood flow and range-of-motion of the muscle. We do this by utilizing a handheld percussion massage "gun".
